Auditions are open to everyone!

All About Auditions:

* Auditions are held in the 3rd floor Norvell Hall of the Meroney Theater, at 213 South Main Street in Salisbury, NC.

* When you come in to the audition, read and fill out the audition form and sign it. (Please note that, if cast, your participation is required for build and strike.) You may also sign up on the audition form to crew, if you are not cast.

* Audition forms should be turned in to the stage manager and you should be seated by 7:00 pm.

* You do not need to attend auditions both nights, but if you do audition the first night, check before you leave to see if there are any callbacks. Occasionally, people may be asked if they can return the second night for further readings.

* Unless otherwise specified, auditions are "cold readings" of the script.  Auditions for musicals require a prepared song. We provide a piano accompanist, so bring your sheet music. The song is your choice, something you like and feel you sing well; it does not have to be a song from the show.

* Scripts and librettos for this season's shows are available for check-out at the Rowan Public Library's Main branch on West Fisher Street in Salisbury, NC and at the Piedmont Players Theatre office, second floor.

* Rehearsals typically run from 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm , Monday through Friday. Anyone who is cast must not have conflicts which would cause them to be absent on dress rehearsal or performance dates.

* Cast lists are posted at the end of the second night of auditions, and scripts are distributed. If there is any delay on posting the list, the director will notify those who are present at the end of the second night. If you are cast in a role but are not present the second night of auditions, you will be called.

* Audition notices are sent out by e-mail.  Please call or e-mail md@piedmontplayers.com to put your name on the list.
